About the New York Jazz Group The New York Jazz Group’s engaging performances include jazz standards, swing and bebop classics, Latin favorites, and elegant renditions of pop, rock, and Motown hits. They are the perfect group for any occasion— from a black tie gala event to a backyard party by the pool. The group is comprised of the core trio of Arthur Rotfeld on guitar, Rich Zurkowski on acoustic bass, and Steve Mansfield on drums. These master musicians have been performing together since 1988. The New York Jazz Group now performs together over 100 times a year. In addition to regular performances at weddings, cocktail hours, and other social events in NYC, LI, Westchester, and Fairfield, The New York Jazz Group hosts a weekly jazz night at Green’s in Stamford, Connecticut, for which they received the Fairfield Weekly’s Best Jazz award. They also perform weekly at Trotter’s Lounge and Restaurant in White Plains. The group’s second CD, Poinciana, was released in August 2003. “This is the kind of jazz music that conjures up the full range of human experience."—The Westchester Weekly
